Foolish Boy

Yesterday was final registration where I work.  My job is basically directing traffic and making sure everyone stays in order of when they got there to see an advisor.  I had 3 young men who are in the accounting program.  Certain advisors only advise for certain areas.  An advisor became available who did not advise for accounting, but because one these gentlemen had had him before for a class, they just wanted to talk to him.  I asked him again if he was in the accounting program, which he agreed that he was.  So I emphasized that he could not see this particular advisor.  Then our conversation goes like this:
Male student: "What if my program isn't accounting?"
Me: "But you just told me it was, so are you lying to me or are you messing with me because I'm pregnant and I will hurt you?"
Male student with downcast eyes: "um...nevermind"

I told my director about it later and he laughed and said the student was too young to know what danger he was putting himself in.  Silly boy...
